Oh, hello there, I know, it’s been forever. I’ve missed my little piece of the internet and all of you as well. Things have been hectic; during the last three weeks we’ve driven from Boston to Tahoe and back to Denver again. We also spent a couple of magical days in Aspen (more on that later!) we also had this little event…our wedding!
I don’t think I can do our wedding justice with words. It was everything I imagined it to be, actually, it was better. The venue was a small boutique hotel in Squaw Valley called Plumpjack. We had the rehearsal dinner, ceremony and reception on the property and it was the perfect way to avoid all the driving that usually happens during a wedding. The staff at the hotel was amazing and the food was delicious. If you’re looking for a great hotel in Tahoe you should book at Plumpjack.
I have so many wonderful pictures from the weekend but I tried to pare it down for everyone’s sake. I also think most of them are pretty self-explanatory so I’ll skip the commentary. However, many thanks to those friends and family who took photos of the weekend and a special thanks to our photographers who were amazing. Gotta give a shout out to Light the Moment Photography. They were professional, fun and I loved how the photos came out.
How pretty does my mom look? I wish I was looking at the camera in this picture.
Love our bridal party. From left to right: Michael’s cousins Dan and JP, his brothers Dave and Andy, Eli, us (of course), our flower girl LIv, my sister Sarah, my friend Lupe from SF and my two college BF’s Josie and Julie. Such a great group, we’re so lucky.
Awkward girls pic.
We took all the bridal party and bride/groom photos out in a field in Squaw Valley. The scenery was stunning.
Our first look.
Michael waiting for me.
Me walking out to see Michael for the first time.
Wouldn’t be our wedding without Eli.
The ceremony was held near a creek, looking out at the mountain. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect.
Our stunning mothers.
The best man toast.
Maid of honor toast.
Our delicious gluten-free wedding cake from Nicole.
I can’t believe it’s over. It went by so fast but it was the perfect wedding, if I do say so myself. 🙂
Enjoy and Exhale!
