Consider this site your wellness home base. My hope is that the Makings Of can be a resource and a reminder that parenthood should not be the excuse but the reason to continue on your own personal path of wellness, health, fitness, self-care and growth.

So, what are you struggling with? What are you curious to learn more about? What parts of your life would you like to take from good to great? I’d love to help you in anyway I can. To start, let me steer you to some blog resources you might be interested in.

Did having kids make healthy meals a thing of the past? Do your kids eat like champions and you eat like garbage? Or are you simply looking for new recipe ideas that will please everyone? Check out the Makings Of Recipe Page. All of my recipes are vegetarian and most are gluten-free. I also know how non-existent time is with kids so most of the meals also take about 30 minutes. (There may be a few recipes from the early years that take longer, a by-product of a time when I didn’t have a kid!) Want a few recommendations for what to try first? This Lentil Bruschetta dip takes approximately 2 minutes and this gluten-free peanut sauce over noodle bowls is a dish I made constantly.

Have you put your wellness on the back burner since having children? Are you looking to get in better physical shape? Finally start running? Or do yoga? Are you looking for a little motivation to get going? That’s what this section is all about! Start with this post about 5 Ways To Reset Your Wellness or this one about How To Curb Your Sugar Cravings.

Isn’t this the first thing to go out the window when we become parents? How are you taking care of yourself? Are there goals or dreams that keep calling to you but you can never seem to find the time to pursue them? This is where you’ll find information about sticking to habits, creating with confidence, finding inspiration, self-care practices like meditation and so much more.
